CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with PEC Solutions, dba ArchKey Technologies, for the Main Library Data Recabling Project for a total amount not to exceed $149,694, payable as follows:
$124,694 - 450-030-5520; CP2021-2105b (Capital Improvements, Finance, Buildings & Structures; 2021 Capital Improvement Projects, Library Improvements)
$ 25,000 - 450-030-5520; CP2020-2001b (Capital Improvements, Finance, Buildings & Structures; 2020 Capital Improvement Projects, VFA - Asset Mgmt System)
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with ArchKey Technologies for the Main Library Data Recabling project for an amount not to exceed $149,694.
This project includes providing and installing CAT6 cables and completing other work as part of the recabling of the Duluth Public Library’s main branch building.
This project will be reimbursed in part through the Federal Communications Commission’s E-Rate program.
Purchasing issued an invitation to bid on February 18, 2021, and received three responsive bids as listed below. ArchKey Technologies submitted the lowest responsive bid. The project was value engineered to bring it within budget.
