RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH MSA PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC. FOR COASTAL INFRASTRUCTURE RESILIENCE OUTREACH FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $49,664.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with MSA Professional Services, Inc. to provide public stakeholder and agency outreach in cooperation with Ramboll US Consulting, Inc. for a total amount not to exceed $49,664, payable from fund 225-125-1815-5310-STORMAA (Disaster Recovery Fund; Finance; Storm Surge October 2018; Contract Services; Advance Assistance - Mitigation of Shoreline Storm Damage). MSA will provide education and build consensus about the coastal infrastructure coastal infrastructure resilience research and development project (Resolution No. 21-0336R) that will address bank collapse on the north shore and Minnesota Point as a result of storm surges.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with MSA Professional Services, Inc. to convene and facilitate three (3) inter-agency advisory group meetings and three (3) public engagement sessions in close collaboration with Ramboll Consulting US Inc. leading the Research and Assessment services and MSA Professional Services (MSA), leading the Coastal Resilience Outreach services. A thorough, inclusive and effective outreach process improves the assessment and builds support for adoption and implementation of the strategies developed by Ramboll Consulting US Inc. to address bank collapse on the north shore and Minnesota Point.
