CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Ulland Brothers, Inc. for the Riverwest Drive Construction Project in the amount of $1,868,300, payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Account), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1403. The funding sources for the project are as follows:
Construction portion assessed to benefitted properties: $577,100
MnDOT TED Grant Funds: $229,000
St. Louis County road funds: $900,000
Street Light Utility Fund 550: $162,200
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the award of a contract for the construction of Riverwest Drive and associated utilities near the intersection of Warwick Street and Grand Ave. to Ulland Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $1,868,300. Ulland Brothers, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder of the six companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate for the project was $2,050,779.69. Payable out of the Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Account), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1403, requisition no. 21-99282.
