CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of workforce development technician I - opioid (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on May 4, 2021, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic bargaining unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 130, pay rate of $4,238 to $4,976 per month.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The new classification of workforce development technician I - opioid has been created to build community partnerships with organizations working to address the opioid crisis and provide career services and employment-focused case management to dislocated workers employed in disaster recovery temporary positions, and to individuals whose employment has been impacted by the opioid crisis. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 130, pay rate of $4,238 to $4,976 per month.
