Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  In September 2019, the city of Duluth was selected to take part in the National League of Cities, “Cities of Opportunity” cohort. The process included a multi-city learning cohort that received technical assistance in how to strategize and leverage resources to make lasting advancements in health and equity within city policies. As part of this process, the National League of Cities will provide this funding support to advance the work of the city. Funding will be used to contract with a local Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion consultant to develop a tool for incoming board and commission members to learn more about diversity, equity and inclusion.
