CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept ballistic vest reimbursements from the United States department of justice, bureau of justice assistance, office of justice programs, in an amount not to exceed $17,221.39 to be deposited in Fund 110-160-1610-4209-02 (General Fund, Police Department, Administration & Investigation, Federal Operating Grants), per the attached Document A.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to accept additional money for reimbursement of Police Department ballistic (bullet proof) vest purchases in an amount not exceed $17,221.39 from the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs. This reimbursement is for 202 funds, seeking formal documented acceptance by the Council per the ordinance. This reimbursement is part of a rolling five-year replacement cycle for standard-issue vests.
