CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with LHB Engineers & Architects (LHB) for additional professional design services for Hartley Nature Center building expansion and Hartley Park improvements, for an increase of $66,186, and a new total not to exceed $219,344, payable from fund 205-130-1220-5530-CM205-HARTLE-LGCY18 (parks fund, community resources, parks capital, contract services, cap mtce fund 205, Hartley Park, Hartley Legacy Grant 2018)
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to an agreement with LHB for additional professional design services for Hartley Nature Center building expansion and Hartley Park improvements, for an increase of $66,186 and a new total not to exceed $219,344. The increase will cover extensive design revisions to bring the project within budget, the inclusion of park improvements in the scope of work, and additional services including project administration. Hartley Nature Center will pay for all of the $153,158 base contract. The City of Duluth will pay for all of the $66,186 contract increase through the City of Duluth Park Fund.
