RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF FACILITY OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR, INCLUDING A TITLE CHANGE FACILITY OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, AND SPECIFYING CONTRACT BENEFITS FOR SAME.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of facility operations supervisor, including a title change to facility operations & maintenance supervisor (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on July 7, 2021, are approved. This classification shall remain subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its supervisory unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall change to Range 1080-1095, pay rate of $5,899 to $7,721 per month, from Range 1075, pay rate of $5,750 to $6,988 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The existing classification of facility operations supervisor has been revised (including a title change to facility operations & maintenance supervisor) to reflect additional duties and responsibilities assigned as a result of park referendums, capital construction project approvals, and added focus on building maintenance and safety in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This classification is responsible for overall coordination, supervision, planning, operations, as well as routine and capital maintenance in city facilities and on city property. The pay range negotiated for this classification is Range 1080-1095, pay rate of $5,899 to $7,721 per month. This is a change from Range 1075, pay rate of $5,750 to $6,988 per month.
