CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a three-year agreement with the Duluth Economic Development Authority (DEDA), substantially the same as the agreement attached as Exhibit 1, to use certain DEDA-owned property, more commonly known as Bayfront Festival Park and Parking Lot B, at no cost to the City.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with Duluth Economic Development Authority (DEDA) to use certain DEDA-owned property, more commonly known as Bayfront Festival Park and Parking Lot B, at no cost to the City.  The westerly portion of Bayfront Festival Park and the entire Parking Lot B are owned by DEDA, and DEDA has previously provided now expired licenses to the City to use the property for vehicular parking and park purposes. 

 

In connection with a separate arrangement between the parties, DEDA will be conveying the property under this license agreement to the City.  Until the land transaction is finalized, this license agreement needs to be entered into to provide for the City and general public’s continued use of the DEDA-owned property.
