Title

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FIVE-YEAR MASTER SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE FOND DU LAC BAND OF LAKE SUPERIOR CHIPPEWA FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL FIELD MONITORING SERVICES FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $250,000.

Body

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a five-year master services agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, for professional archaeological field monitoring services needed to support the construction, operation and maintenance of city systems for a total contract amount not to exceed $250,000, payable from various appropriate funds, departments, agencies and objects, city project no. 2011.

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes a five-year master services agreement with the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, for professional archaeological field monitoring services needed to support the construction, operation and maintenance of city systems on a non-exclusive, as-needed basis.

This agreement will be one of four blanket purchase agreements for archaeological and historical services, with projects ordered and billed on an hourly basis pursuant to a city-issued, written statement of work or similar document. By having agreements with multiple firms in place, the City has the flexibility to order and complete archaeological and historical services in a timely manner based on a particular company’s expertise and availability.  The agreements do not guarantee that a minimum amount of services will be ordered from a particular vendor, and the agreements may be terminated at any time.
