CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with Veit & Company, Inc. for DPD impound lot construction for a total amount not to exceed $238,734.20, payable from fund 450-030-5510-CP2020-2005B (capital improvements; finance; land; 2020 capital improvement projects; public safety building).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Veit & Company, Inc. for DPD impound lot construction for an amount not to exceed $238,734.20. The Duluth Police Department is in need of a 50-vehicle impound lot by the end of 2021. Veit will redevelop the existing parking lot for use as an impound lot, including minor earthwork, fencing and utility installation.
Purchasing issued an Invitation to Bid on July 22, 2021, and received three bids.
Veit & Company, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive bid.
