CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of communications infrastructure technician (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on July 7, 2021, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 31, pay rate of $4,776 to $5,629 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The new classification of communications infrastructure technician has been created to ensure the stability of two-way, point-to-point, radio, wireless and other electronic communication services and equipment for all departments within the city. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 31, pay rate of $4,776 to $5,629 per month.
