CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a subscriber agreement, substantially the same as the agreement attached as Exhibit 1, with St. Louis County, Minnesota (the "County"), for the use of certain online software to access electronic databases of real property records at the cost of $80 per license unless otherwise modified by the County in writing or published on the County's website.

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an execute a subscriber agreement, with St. Louis County, Minnesota (the "County") for the use of certain online software to access electronic databases of real property records at the cost of $80 per license unless otherwise modified by the County in writing or published on the County's website.

The County records documents pertaining to real estate within the County. Once documents are recorded, the County maintains a searchable index and database of the documents, which can be accessed electronically through certain online software. This agreement allows for use of the online software to access the County's electronic real estate database.

Each employee within the city that previously accessed the online database did so without cost or agreement and through one account that was shared across departments. The County has recently begun charging all municipalities and townships within the County for continued use of the online database, and this agreement formalizes the terms and conditions under which the city can access the online database.
