CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that contract L30037 with EPC Engineering & Testing for Geotechnical and Materials Testing services for the city Engineering Division for various capital projects be increased in year 4 (2021) by $35,000 for a new total of $135,000 and in year 5 (2022) by $40,000 for a new total of $90,000, for a new total amount not to exceed $500,000. This will be payable from various appropriate funds, departments, agencies and objects, city project no. 1722.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution amends Master Services Agreement L30037 with EPC Engineering & Testing. The annual maximum amount for 2021 will be increased from $100,000 to $135,000, and the annual maximum amount for 2022 will be increased from $50,000 to $90,000. This increase is necessary because testing requirements for this year have exceeded anticipated amounts for several projects, including the downtown Superior Street Reconstruction project and the Brighton Beach Trail project. Increased testing is anticipated in 2022 as well, due to the size and type of upcoming projects.
