CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, the chief administrative officer upon the direction of the mayor has recommended the interim charter appointment of Gregory Guerrero to the position of director, public works & utilities; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter requires the city council confirm this appointment; and
WHEREAS, this interim appointment shall be effective for the duration of the absence of the sitting director, James Benning.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council hereby confirms the interim charter appointment of Gregory Guerrero to the position of director, public works & utilities for the city of Duluth.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The intention of this interim charter appointment is to backfill for public works & utilities director, James Benning, during the length of his absence. This resolution confirms the appointment of Gregory Guerrero as interim director, public works & utilities as required by the City Charter.
