CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to amend contract L30533 with Employee Strategies Inc. for continued consultation services (attached as Exhibit 1) at the main library in the amount of $58,500, and a new total amount not to exceed $110,095, payable from fund no. 110-121-1218-5319 (general fund; property, parks & libraries; library services; other professional services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to contract L30533 with Employee Strategies Inc. for ongoing consultation services at the main library for an additional $58,500, and a new total amount not to exceed $110,095. The services are intended to evaluate and improve the Duluth Public Library organizational culture for the benefit of patrons and employees. The services will be paid for by funds allotted to Library payroll that the City significantly underspent in association with the nearly complete but still ongoing process of refilling Library positions vacated during the 2020 height of the pandemic.
