CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to contract with VESSCO, Inc. for the purchase of water plant filter actuators in the amount of $56,741.16, payable from 510-500-1955-5404 (water, Public Works and Utilities, water treatment and pumping, equipment/machinery repair and maintenance).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the sole source purchase of eight water plant filter actuator kits from VESSCO, Inc. in the amount of $56,741.16.
This purchase will allow the Water plant to replace the eight remaining original EIM actuators purchased in 1975 as there are no longer parts available for repairs. In order to keep inventory and maintenance costs down, all 25 actuators are being standardized with new Rotork actuators. VESSCO, Inc. is the authorized distributor for Rotork actuators in our region.
