CITY PROPOSAL:

                     RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a memorandum of understanding, substantially the same as the attached Document A, with Mending the Sacred Hoop and Native Lives Matter Coalition for the purpose of creating a reward fund program to help law enforcement agencies solve violent crimes against indigenous women, girls and 2 spirit at no cost to the city of Duluth.

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes a Memorandum of Understanding with Mending the Sacred Hoop and Native Lives Matter Coalition for the purpose of creating a reward fund program to help law enforcement agencies solve violent crimes against indigenous women, girls and 2 spirit at no cost to the city of Duluth.  Mending the Sacred Hoop and Native Lives Matter Coalition will act as co-fiscal agents for the fund.
