CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with Lakehead Constructors for the USCBP Cruise Facility construction for a total amount not to exceed $444,740.00, payable from fund 450-030-5520-CP450-CSTBLD (capital improvements, finance, buildings & structures, capital projects - other fund contributions, customs facility).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Lakehead Constructors for construction of a United States Customs and Border Patrol Cruise Facility within the DECC for an amount not to exceed $444,740.00.
The contract will be paid for by a $150,000 grant from Viking Cruises and a portion of $450,000 in tourism tax proceeds approved by City Council Resolution 21-0847R to pay for construction of customs facilities for cruise ships.
Purchasing issued an Invitation to Bid on December 16, 2021, and received eight bids as listed below. Lakehead Constructors submitted the lowest responsive bid.
