CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of senior police crime & intelligence analyst (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on March 1, 2022, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 138, pay rate of $5,878 to $6,972 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The new classification of senior police crime & intelligence analyst has been created to implement a job series to recognize the work being performed at this level includes being fully aware of operating procedures and policies of the analyst work and conducting comprehensive and complex projects requiring greater technical and analytical skill and considerable independent judgment. This position will provide direction and training to other analysts. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 138, pay rate of $5,878 to $6,972 per month.
