CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of seasonal recreation lead instructor (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on March 1, 2022, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 15, pay rate of $2,425 to $2,783 per month.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The new classification of seasonal recreation lead instructor has been created to add staffing to the parks & recreation division during the summer months to assist with the programming they offer to the community. This position coordinates the day-to-day operations of recreation programs and is responsible for the development of curriculum, preparing sites for programs, communications, evaluations, and training other summer program staff. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 15, pay rate of $2,425 to $2,783 per month.
