CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit 1, from the County of St. Louis, on behalf of the State of Minnesota, a perpetual easement for street and utility purposes over, under, and across the following described real property located in St. Louis County, Minnesota for $150.00:
Westerly 33 feet of Lots Four (4) and Five (5), Block Twenty-four (24), MacFarlane’s Grassy Point Addition to Duluth, according to the recorded plat thereof.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the acceptance of a permanent easement for street and utility purposes from County of St. Louis, on behalf of the State of Minnesota over, under, and across tax-forfeited property located in the Fairmount neighborhood for $150.00. The existing street that is maintained by the City and used by the public does not have an easement over it, and the acceptance of this easement cures the City’s title issue.
