CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the city council concurs with the award of a contract to Ulland Brothers, Inc. for construction of a roundabout at the intersection of CSAH 37 (Snively Road) and Glenwood Street, and mill and overlay of CSAH 9 (Woodland Avenue), Arrowhead Road and Snively Road with a city share in the amount of $2,526,929.46.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes concurrence to St. Louis County to enter into a contract with Ulland Brothers, Inc for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of CSAH 37 (Snively Road) and Glenwood Street, and mill and overlay of CSAH 9 (Woodland Avenue), Arrowhead Road and Snively Road with a city share in the amount of $2,526,929.46. Ulland Brothers, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder out of the three companies that responded. The projects were designed and bid under a cooperative agreement between St. Louis County and the City (Resolution 21-0711R). The engineer’s estimate for the city’s portion was $2,339,454.48. Payable out of Permanent Improvement fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1712 (with merged project numbers 1696, 1697, and 1913). Funding will be from Federal, Municipal State Aid, Street Lighting, and Water Utility funds.
