CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with Hanco Utilities, Inc. for the repair of five manholes for Duluth Energy Systems for an amount not to exceed $224,275, payable from fund 540-920-1499-5530 (Steam; Steam Department; Steam Non-Operating; Improvements Other Than Buildings).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Hanco Utilities, Inc. for the repair of five manholes for Duluth Energy Systems on a time and materials basis for an amount not to exceed $224,275.
This project is for the repair of steam system manholes that are failing or require maintenance.
Purchasing issued an Invitation for Bids on January 11, 2022 and received three responsive bids. The bid received from Hanco Utilities, Inc. was the lowest responsive bid.
