RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUB-GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE ARMORY ARTS AND MUSIC CENTER FOR A GRANT REIMBURSEMENT.

RESOLVED, that the Duluth Economic Development Authority is hereby authorized to execute an agreement, substantially the same as the attached Exhibit A, with the Armory Arts and Music Center pursuant to a Redevelopment Grant, substantially the same as the attached Exhibit B from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Duluth Economic Development Authority is hereby authorized to accept reimbursement from the Armory Arts and Music Center, which will be no less than the required match funding of half of the total project cost.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a subgrant agreement for a State of Minnesota DEED Redevelopment Grant in an amount not to exceed $672,918 for which an agreement with the Armory Arts and Music Center will reimburse for the required match funding. Redevelopment activities associated with this grant funding are focused upon the abatement of hazardous materials in both buildings, including lead paint, windows, pipes and other material at the Historic Armory site.
