CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into an agreement with Insight Public Sector for Microsoft Teams consulting and professional services for a total amount not to exceed $58,350, payable from fund 110-122-1107-5319, (General, Administrative Services, Information Technology, Other Professional Services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement for professional services with Insight Public Sector for support and service of remote work capabilities for an amount not to exceed $58,350.
The Council-approved funding goals for ARP includes funding for administrative costs associated with COVID and ARP. Administrative costs for remote working have been a direct result of COVID. Microsoft Teams is needed due to the number of people working remotely, expanded capabilities and collaboration required for remote workers and the public, improved security for remote workers, and improved document access and workflows for remote workers as it relates to COVID distancing and response. The modified revenue loss calculation included in the updated ARPA guidance expanded the city's capacity and flexibility to fund ARPA projects out of the general fund. These funds will be reimbursed by revenue replacement of ARPA. The ARPA guidance allows for the city to fund provisions for government services included in the annual budget, thereby freeing up budgeted resources to fund the Microsoft Teams Consultant.
This is a sole source purchase for foundational configuration, support, templating and training with the City's Microsoft Teams environment.
