CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that contract L30475 with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. for professional engineering services for the Cross City Trail Phase 3 Project be amended to include additional design services per the attached proposal, including additional surveying, final design and bidding, and to increase the amount by an estimated $86,200 for a new total of $116,200 payable from Capital Improvements Fund 450, Department 030 (Finance), Object 5530 (Improvements Other Than Buildings), city project no. 1510.

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution amends contract L30475 with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. by $86,200.  This amendment is necessary add the final design and bidding phases to the agreement. This will be an hourly, not to exceed increase.  The amendment will provide for additional survey and easement work, including design work for 59^th Ave. West in case we need to add this segment and/or remove a segment, to ensure we expend 100% of the federal funds in 2023.  Due to the complexity of the project, and SEH’s history and involvement in prior design, the city requested their services.
