RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE NEW CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR - POLICE, AND SPECIFYING CONTRACT BENEFITS FOR SAME.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of executive administrator - police (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on July 5, 2022, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 134, pay rate of $61,268 to $72,094 per year.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The new classification of executive administrator - police has been created as a result of a job audit. The incumbent is in a citywide job classification, which no longer accurately represents the scope and duties performed by the position within the police department. The new classification description reflects the expanded scope and highly skilled administrative work being performed by the incumbent. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 134, pay rate of $61,268 to $72,094 per year.
