RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A COOPERATIVE CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY MINNESOTA FOR THE CITY’S SHARE OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL POLE REPAINTING COSTS FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL POLES LOCATED ON HAINES ROAD AT THE ANDERSON ROAD AND MALL DRIVE INTERSECTIONS.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperative Construction Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, between the City of Duluth and St. Louis County Minnesota, providing for payment by the City for the cost of repainting the traffic signal poles on Haines Road at the Anderson Road and Mall Drive intersections within City limits under State Aid project number 69-691-033 and County project number 0091-401108, for an estimated cost of $10,000.00, Payable out of the Street Lighting Utility Fund 550, Department Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Object 5533 (Capital Improvements - Revenue).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with St. Louis County Minnesota to reimburse the County for the costs of repainting signal poles on Haines Road at the Anderson Road and Mall Drive intersections at an estimated cost of $10,000. The City has an existing agreement with the County to maintain these signal poles and it is most cost effective to incorporate this maintenance work as a bid item in the larger County project.
