RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF MICHAEL CEYNOWA AS POLICE CHIEF FOR THE CITY OF DULUTH AND AUTHORIZING AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT FOR THE YEARS 2022-2025.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, the chief administrative officer upon the direction of the mayor has recommended the appointment of Michael Ceynowa to the position of police chief; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter requires the city council confirm this appointment.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council hereby confirms the appointment of Michael Ceynowa to the position of police chief for the city of Duluth.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute and implement an employment contract substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution confirms the appointment of Michael Ceynowa as Police Chief as required by the City Charter and approves an employment contract with the police chief.
