RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY FOR THE 2023 6” WET REFLECTIVE EDGELINE PAVEMENT MARKING PROJECT AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF DULUTH.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with St. Louis County, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, for the 2023 6” wet reflective edgeline pavement marking project at various locations in the city of Duluth. The city’s cost is estimated to be $175,000, to be paid from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, St. Louis County project CP 0000-458863, city project no. 2046.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with St. Louis County for the 2023 6” wet reflective edgeline pavement marking project. The county is bidding a large pavement marking project and the city is adding work into their bid package to achieve a savings of scale. The city intends to place edgeline pavement marking on portions of West Skyline Parkway, Observation Road, Airport Road, West Arrowhead Road, East Skyline Parkway, Congdon Boulevard, Brighton Beach Road and Old Highway 61. The county will bid and administer the project and the city will provide construction inspection on the city portion of the project. City project no. 2046, St. Louis County project CP 0000-458863, to be paid from Permanent Improvement Fund 411 with $135,000 in grant monies received from the Highway Safety Improvement Program, and a city match of $40,000.
