RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO EXTEND THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE GRANT AGREEMENT C23577-01 TO IMPLEMENT THE LINCOLN PARK MINI-MASTER PLAN.

Body

CITY PROPOSAL:

WHEREAS, resolution 16-0335R authorized the proper City officials to accept a $750,000 National Park Service Land and Water Conservation Fund Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program grant to implement the Lincoln Park Mini-Master Plan; and

 

WHEREAS, the Section 106 review with the State Historic Preservation Office took several years to complete and additional time is required to implement the Lincoln Park improvements;

 

WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is an intermediary for the administration of the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to amend the grant contract agreement with the State of Minnesota (City Contract No. C23577-01), substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, extending the term of the agreement to September 30, 2023.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes an amendment to the grant contract agreement with the State of Minnesota (City Contract No. C23577-01) to implement the Lincoln Park mini-master plan to extend the term of the agreement to September 30, 2023. Council approved the existing contract on May 9, 2016 via resolution 16-0335R.
