RESOLUTION APPROVING A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DULUTH AND INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS LOCAL 101 FOR THE YEARS 2022-2024.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute
and implement a collective bargaining agreement with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 101 containing substantially the same as that attached hereto as Exhibit A, covering the terms and conditions for International Association of Fire Fighters Local 101 bargaining unit members for years 2022 through 2024.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The City and International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 101 have been in negotiations for a successor agreement to their current 2021 collective bargaining agreement. The parties tentatively agreed to a 2022-2024 collective bargaining agreement on November 3, 2022, and the IAFF Local 101 membership ratified this 2022 - 2024 collective bargaining agreement on December 8, 2022. The agreement is a three-year contract with general wage increases of 3.0 percent in 2022, 2.0 percent in 2023, and 3.5 percent in 2020. Effective January 1, 2023, EMT pay will increase by 0.5 percent. In addition, firefighters will have an additional Juneteenth holiday and additional uniform items.
