CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with LHB, Inc, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, in the amount of $726,159.40, to provide professional engineering design services for the Sixth Avenue East Extension Project, payable out of Permanent Improvement fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1966.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with LHB, Inc, for professional engineering design services for the extension of Sixth Avenue East from East Second Street to East First Street. Regional Exchange District funds will be used for construction. Due to the complexity and time frame of bidding this project, the city requested the services of a consultant engineer. Single source selection was used for this proposal due to the work schedule and the nature of the project as one begun by a private entity and turned over to the City to complete the design.
