RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGENCY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND MNDOT FOR FEDERAL PARTICIPATION IN ADVANCE CONSTRUCTION FOR THE 6” WET REFLECTIVE EDGELINE PAVEMENT MARKING PROJECT.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 161.36, the commissioner of transportation may be appointed as agent of the city of Duluth to accept, as its agent, federal aid funds which may be made available for eligible transportation related project.

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute and enter into an agreement with the commissioner of transportation, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A, prescribing the terms and conditions of said federal aid participation as set forth and contained in Minnesota Department of Transportation Agency Agreement No. 1052287.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the city to enter into an agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation to receive federal funds for the 6” Wet Reflective Edgeline Pavement Marking Project. This project is programmed to receive the federal funding in fiscal year 2026. However, St. Louis County will be bidding this project with their work in 2023. This agreement clarifies the city’s use of local (municipal State aid and permanent improvement funds) funds until Federal funds are available, city project No. 2046.
