Body
CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a five-year master services agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with EPC Engineering & Testing, for professional geotechnical and material testing services needed to support the construction, operation and maintenance of city systems for an estimated annual amount of $150,000 and a total contract amount not to exceed $750,000, payable from various appropriate funds, departments, agencies and objects, Project 2140.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a five-year master services agreement with EPC Engineering & Testing, for professional geotechnical and material testing services needed to support the construction, operation and maintenance of city systems on a non-exclusive, as-needed basis.
This agreement will be one of four blanket purchase agreements for geotechnical and materials testing, with projects ordered and billed on an hourly basis pursuant to a city-issued, written statement of work or similar document. By having agreements with multiple firms in place, the engineering division has the flexibility to order and complete testing in a timely manner based on a particular company’s expertise and availability. The agreements do not guarantee that a minimum amount of services will be ordered from a particular vendor, and the agreements may be terminated at any time.
