CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute a sole source purchase of an access control system for the Technology Village Ramp from Interstate Development Partners LLC for a total amount not to exceed $165,000.00, payable from fund 505-015-1480-2510-5405 (Parking, Public Administration, Off-Street Parking, Technology Village Ramp, Parking Lot Maintenance).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the sole source purchase of an access control system from Interstate Development Partners LLC for a total amount not to exceed $165,000.
This purchase serves to secure exterior building access at the Technology Village Ramp parking facility. Exterior roll-up doors, door locks, and a proprietary access control system will be installed by a variety of sub-vendors to address ongoing public safety needs. This sole source purchase is necessary due to the multifaceted nature of the project, the need to control the overall cost of the project, lack of local vendors willing to bid on the project, and the specialized knowledge and experience of the proposed vendor.
