CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to amend agreement L30873 with Rachel Contracting, LLC for the Canal Park State Disaster Shoreline Rehabilitation project for additional stone revetment as detailed in the attached proposal as Exhibit A, and to increase the amount by $5,848.96 for a new total of $155,380.96, payable from fund 225-125-1822-5310-STRM1122-02 (disaster recovery fund, finance, storm surge November 2022, contract services, storm surge November 10, 2022, Canal Park Beach).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution amends agreement L30873 with Rachel Contracting, LLC by an increase of $5,848.96. This change order amount is the net result of a cost increase incurred for additional quantities of stone built into the revetment along the Canal Park beach and a cost decrease associated with salvaging and reusing stone from alternative sources.
Funding for this project was received through State Disaster Assistance provided to repair City infrastructure damaged by wind and wave action during the November 10th, 2022 storm, and to mitigate damage in future extreme weather.
