RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FORM OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT USED BY THE ST. LOUIS COUNTY HERITAGE AND ARTS CENTER FOR EVENTS WHERE LIQUOR IS TO BE SOLD.

CITY PROPOSAL:

                     WHEREAS, Section 8-69 of the Duluth City Code requires that the city council approve the form of rental agreement used for events where liquor is sold by on sale intoxicating liquor license holders at the St. Louis County Heritage and Arts Center (“the Depot”); and

                     WHEREAS, the agreement, attached as Exhibit A, is the rental agreement the Depot uses to comply with the requirement of Section 8-69 of the Duluth City Code.

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the council hereby approves the form of the Depot rental agreement, attached as Exhibit A, for use at events at the Depot where liquor is sold by on sale intoxicating liquor license holders.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to approve the form used by the Depot for events where liquor is to be sold.  Section 8-69 of the Duluth City Code requires the city and St. Louis county to approve the form.  The county approved the form by resolution no. 23-494 on September 26, 2023. The St. Louis county board or the city council may, by resolution, file an objection to any event where alcoholic beverages are sold, stating the specific grounds for the objections.
