RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE NEW CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF JANITORIAL SERVICES COORDINATOR, AND SPECIFYING CONTRACT BENEFITS FOR SAME.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of janitorial services coordinator (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on February 6, 2024, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 33, pay rate of $67,421 to $79,288 per year.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The new classification of janitorial services coordinator has been created to coordinate, perform, and provide direction and training to assigned staff in a variety of routine cleaning, custodial, and maintenance duties in assigned City facilities to ensure that facilities meeting division standards for cleanliness and maintenance. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 33, pay rate of $67,421 to $79,288 per year.
