Subject: Lakeside Liquor ban

Dear Duluth Council,

I am writing today to encourage you to support the lifting of the ban on liquor in Lakeside (yup, I 
know it's a state level issue).

My wife and I moved to Lakeside about 10 years ago from Wisconsin. We're now in our 3rd 
house that we've purchased within a 1 mile radius in Lakeside. Yea, we sorta like the place.

Demographically, we're in our mid-30's and have 2 very small children. We have zero fear that 
allowing alcohol in Lakeside will lead to any negative development or degrade the neighborhood 
in any way. In contrast, we believe it may allow a few types of really cool businesses to thrive 
and make Lakeside even more awesome.

To those that fear it, I would have them look to downtown Bayfield, Grand Marais, or even the 
arts district downtown. All wonderful places that are very family-friendly, thriving, and allow the 
sale of alcohol.

Please support the lifting of the very outdated liquor ban in Lakeside.
