So who determines how many votes makes it worthy to go to the legislature?I don't think there were citizens who signed a petition to put it on the ballot since the council voted for this mock vote. Rather one person decided one vote was not legitimate, but now 142 (orwhatever the correct number)vote difference probably will be legitimate. Our Democratic way of voting is for the majority to win and I do not think there is a side law that says it is only legitimate if it is under 100 or some made up number set up by one person. So one vote is wrong but this 142 difference is OK?I think it should have been at least 150 so by my rules the No's won.. Is that fair? I don't think so! Who decides that 142 difference should be accepted or rejected? Does the Council vote this issue? Please give this serious thought for I'm not joking. If I am not understanding then please clarify this to me. It seems all the other final votes are accepted and there seems to be no question of those final tallies. The new Mayor Larson would still have won if it was by one vote I assume. So is the difference of one vote as legitimate as 1000? Also you are going by an unofficial vote that does not count except to check things out at our expense of voting for nothing so to get the far away legislature to determine the fate of our community. Some people may not have voted either way since it was not legitimate and only a test. People often respond differently to make- believe vs real votes. Thank you very much for hearing out my concern and I welcome clarification or correction re my perspective. I and my family still feel we have enough drugs in our city and don't need more and people need to have a place they can enjoy without alcohol too. Sincerely, Rosemarie Mitchell P.S. Congratulations to those who won. . RM
