Commitee Reports
• Skywalks: Castaldo reported the mayor stated the skywalk updates are on pause in a news article
recently. The commissions’ biggest goal is to be part of conversations with the city to make the
skywalks better accessible for the community. Councilor Johnson stated that at this time the skywalks
have not been made a high priority item, when the skywalk conversation comes back into high priority
he will report back to our commission and include our commission in the conversation.
• Crosswalks: Chair Paszak updated the commission on our goal to get crosswalk information to our
community, get crosswalks better marked, or to get signs to posted saying “stop here” pointing to cross
walks. Our main goal is to educate the community and keep community members safe while
transporting on the sidewalks. Councilor Johnson is going to investigate ways to move this agenda item
along within the city and will report back to our commission.
• Outreach: Brochures- Commissioners are not able to have copies of the brochures with commission
meeting time, date, and information, due to having to wait for administration to get approval for
commissioners to have those copies.
