RESOLUTION APPROVING SETTLEMENT IN THE MATTER OF TAYLOR CARDINAL VS. CITY OF DULUTH, IN THE AMOUNT OF $75,000.00 PURSUANT TO THE TERMS OF THE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the city council approves settlement of a doubtful and disputed lawsuit entitled Taylor Cardinal vs. City of Duluth, pursuant to the terms and conditions of a settlement agreement substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit 1.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to take all actions necessary to conclude this matter on a full, final, and complete basis; payment of $75,000.00 to be made from fund no. 610-036-1651-5841 (Liability Claims Expense) by check payable to Stephens Law PA IOLTA; said funds represent the total settlement amount to be paid to Taylor Cardinal.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes city officials to enter into and implement the Settlement Agreement in Taylor Cardinal vs. City of Duluth. City administration and the city attorney recommend approval of this settlement agreement.
