RESOLUTION ACCEPTING REIMBURSEMENT MONEY FROM THE ARROWHEAD LIBRARY SYSTEM FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LIBRARY.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept reimbursement money from the Arrowhead Library System for use in 2026 by the Duluth Public Library to purchase library materials and fund small projects, said sum to be deposited in fund no. 110-121-1218-4654-02 (general; property, parks & libraries; library services; other reimbursements).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the acceptance of reimbursement funds from the Arrowhead Library System. The funding falls into three categories (1) $47,002, to be used for the purchase of library materials, (2) up to $900, to be used to support the One Book Northland project, (3) $750, to be used for small enhancements to services or spaces at each Duluth Public Library location. Each year, the Arrowhead Library System distributes funds to its member libraries to reimburse them for sharing their materials with one another. The System also provides funding for One Book Northland and $250 per library location to cover the cost of a project identified by the library.
