CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute a license agreement with the Duluth Backcountry Horsemen of Minnesota, substantially in the form of Exhibit A, for trail maintenance activities on existing trails designated for equestrian use through December 31, 2029, at no cost to the City.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a license agreement, substantially in the form of Exhibit A, with the Duluth Backcountry Horsemen of Minnesota (Duluth BCH) for trail maintenance through December 31, 2029.
Duluth BCH is a non-profit volunteer organization with the mission of educating the general public and developing, maintaining, preserving, and protecting public lands and parks for equestrian use in and around the Greater Duluth, Minnesota area. This agreement provides Duluth BCH with a license to perform trail maintenance projects on specific trails designated for equestrian use. Duluth BCH shall have non-exclusive use of the trails at all times. The agreement also requires Duluth BCH to procure and maintain liability insurance during the lifespan of the license.
