CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Rachel Contracting, LLC for the Lakewalk and Costal Improvement Project in the amount of $9,884,980.33, payable from 450-030-5530; CP450-20BOND-LKWALK (capital improvements, Finance, improvements other than buildings; capital projects, other fund contributions, city and state bonds 2020, lakewalk shoreline hazard mitigation).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes City officials to enter into a contract for the Lakewalk and Coastal Improvement Project with Rachel Contracting, LLC in the amount of $9,884,980.33.
Purchasing issued an invitation for bid on June 16, 2026, and received three bids as listed in the attached bid summary. Rachel Contracting, LLC was the lowest responsive responsible bidder as listed below. The engineer’s estimate was $9,551,223. Construction costs are funded by a federal grant, a state grant, and budgeted capital funds.
