CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the city council hereby decrease the total expenditure of the 2021 ESG Program by an amount of $1,059 due to a decrease in the allocation to the city by HUD from the original estimate of $208,000 to the final HUD award of $206,941 and authorizes changes to contracts as set forth below:

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution finalizes the 2021 Emergency Solutions Grant Program portion of the Community Development program. The city budgeted $208,000 for the FY 2021 HUD award to the ESG program in Resolution 21-0080R. The federal Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) officially notified the city of the FY 2021 ESG allocation on February 25, 2021 for the program year that runs from April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022. The award letter from HUD awarded $206,941 to the ESG program, which is a decrease of $1,059 from the anticipated amount.
