CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the city council hereby increase the total expenditure of the 2020 ESG-CV program by an amount of $225,670 of funding received by the City from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and authorizes changes to contracts as set forth below:

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes contract increases in Emergency Solutions Grant authorized by the 2020 Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act. Funds from ESG-CV-1 and ESG-CV-2 were provided through the U.S. CARES Act, which passed on March 26, 2020 to provide emergency response funding to communities through the U.S. by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City received and allocated $1,972,199 as evidenced by resolutions 21-0578R and 21-0192R. Remaining unallocated funds in the amount of $225,670 will support the CHUM project to improve sanitation and the spread of COVID-19 in the CHUM Shelter, which experienced an increase of $2,693 related to restroom upgrades.
